The Crowsnest Centre is one of the best places in the Pass to host your event or function, and they would like everyone to know that even with the coming changes imposed by council, the Centre is still open for business and all booked functions will still go forward.
Manager Dawn Rigby explains that council's decision does not affect any of the bookings for the newer half of the Centre. The newer wing includes the main banquet hall, the kitchens, and the accommodation section, and for everything that takes place there, it will be business as usual. All bookings for the main hall will be unaffected if council closes the older west wing, which houses a number of organizations as regular tenants. |
The closure of the old wing would mean the loss of four conference rooms, says Rigby, but there would still be two conference rooms in the newer wing, and the Centre will try to accommodate everyone who seeks to use conference rooms at the facility.
Currently the Crowsnest Centre's main hall is booked for most of the summer with different events and weddings. There are only two Saturdays in June still available. Rigby is currently looking at taking Christmas bookings for parties, events, and functions.
People booking the Centre have the choice of using the facility's in-house caterer, Country Encounters, or renting out the kitchen for the use of any caterer they wish.
