With the official announcement of two large government grants to finish the trail by March of 2011, the dream is becoming a reality.

The federal government is providing $184,000 through the Recreational Infrastructure Canada program, which is part of Canada's Economic Action Plan. The provincial government is providing a $241,000 grant from the Municipal Sponsorship Program. For its part, the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass will create a marketing strategy to raise a further $80,000 for the program.
