The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is scheduled to roll into the Crowsnest Pass on Saturday, December 12, bringing music and joy to all the good little girls and boys.
The Holiday Train runs annually through all of Canada and parts of the northern United States, bringing musical performers to communities on their route and collecting food and donations for local food banks. Its path does not always bring it through the Pass –– the last time it was here was in 2007 –– but this year it makes its return.
The train is scheduled to arrive at 2:15 p.m. in Coleman, south of 17th Avenue between 69th and 70th Streets, and will stay for half an hour. The schedule is subject to some change based on how quickly the train moves from place to place. The train will be performing in Lethbridge,

Fort Macleod, and Pincher Creek before the Pass on the same day, and after the Pass it will continue on to Sparwood, Fernie, Jaffray, and Cranbrook.
Entertainers on this year's train are The Odds, an alternative rock band, joined by Shaun Verrault, a member of the blues-rock trio Wide Mouth Mason.
People attending are encouraged to arrive up to 15 minutes early. Donations of food items and money will be accepted for the Crowsnest Pass Food Bank as part of the event.
Over the past decade, the Holiday Train has raised a total of $4 million and two million pounds of food for food banks along their route.
