The Cosmopolitan Hotel is one of the most storied and historic businesses in the Crowsnest Pass, and they continue to offer new and existing services to the community.
Established in 1904, the Cosmopolitan is the oldest existing business in Blairmore, and the second oldest in the entire Pass. Current owners Cliff and Lynne Sigvaldason have operated the business since 1994, and continue to uphold the building’s proud tradition.
The Cosmopolitan has now opened its kitchen again, and are serving meals through the bar. You can enjoy all your old favourites or discover something new, with the Cos Burger, the Cos Special Shrimp, a delicious steak sandwich, and more.
In addition, the Cosmopolitan still offers catering services for events of any kind and any size, including private parties or meetings directly in the Cos Restaurant. They have been catering for over 15 years, and have catered for groups of up to 550 people, including catering the TransRockies bike race in the Pass.
The Cosmopolitan is a member of the Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association, and participates in the Canada Select Rating program. |
The hotel holds a two-and-a-half star rating, which is a testament to how well the building has been maintained over the years, as they are only one of two old hotels in Alberta to receive a star rating.
Visitors to the hotel can rent rooms on a daily, a weekly, or a monthly basis.
The Cosmopolitan offers a steady stream of entertainment at its bar, including live off-track betting, the newest music videos, and music seven days a week for patrons.
