Union workers at
Teck Coal's Coal Mountain mine, located just west of the BC-Alberta border, which includes as many as 100 workers living in Crowsnest Pass, are back on the job following the successful resolution of a 54-day strike.
Nic Milligan, Manager of Community and Governmental Affairs for Teck Coal, said that he was unable to provide the details of the new contract, but that the matter has been resolved.
Milligan says that Teck Coal and the union met with a mediator again on September 25, and the two sides arrived at a tentative agreement late that evening.
