The Crowsnest Pass Lacrosse Association has been granted a Junior Lacrosse franchise for the 2011 season.
Local lacrosse players between the ages of 17-21 will compete in the third tier of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League against rivals from Lethbridge, Brooks, Medicine Hat, and Strathmore, as well as teams from High River, Okotoks, Airdrie, Olds, Lacombe/Panoka, and Calgary.
The season runs from May 7th to the end of June, and will allow an opportunity for graduates of the Crowsnest Pass Minor Lacrosse system to play in the next level of competition.
“Many talented and skilled players have worked their way through minor lacrosse in the Crowsnest Pass, and now get to show off their stuff at the next level,” said Coach Joey Ambrosi.
The Crowsnest Pass Junior Ravens will play their first home game on Sunday, May 8th at the Albert Stella Memorial Arena at 12:30 p.m. against the Rockyview Silvertips. |

Their second home game will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 15th, against the Calgary Sabrecats.
The eighth annual Crowsnest Pass Minor Lacrosse season for players between the ages of six and 16 commences at the end of the month.
Registration night for the upcoming season will be held next Tuesday, March 29th at the Albert Stella Memorial Arena in Blairmore from 6 to 8 p.m.
A community mass registration will also be held on Wednesday, March 30th.
Practices will commence on April 4th, with league play set to begin on May 7th.
The season will consist of 12 regular season games, two games each Saturday for the course of six weeks, and two weekend tournaments.
Players will compete against teams from Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Brooks, Claresholm, Nanton, and Cranbrook.
