The Municipality of Crowsnest Pass announced on Thursday, May 19th that it had received the resignation of Chief Administrative Officer Tully Clifford, effective June 15th.
Clifford said he was not resigning because of any issues or conflicts, and that it was simply for personal reasons.
He added that he feels he is leaving at a time when the senior management team and municipal employees are in a good place, and well equipped to pick up and move forward.
“I feel I’m leaving things in a better condition than they were when I got here,” said Clifford, noting that there were quite a few structural difficulties within the organization such as policy concerns. “What I undertook was to make sure that we actually have policies coming forward that cover the big issues of how to run the municipality, and how to respond to our businesses and residents.”
“We now have a clear vision of strategies and priorities,” he said. “I am very pleased with the progress I made while I was here.” |
Mayor Bruce Decoux said on Thursday that Administration has been in contact with Davies Park, who will commence an immediate search for someone to fill Clifford’s position.
He added that Council is in the process of identifying a suitable interim candidate until a permanent replacement can be selected.
