Bylaw enforcement report
Councillor Siegbert Gail moved that Council direct Administration to provide a quarterly report to Council on bylaw enforcement activities within the community, and that the media also be made aware of such information.
The motion was passed unanimously.
SRD correspondence
Councillor Emile Saindon moved that Council direct Administration to draft a letter to Alberta Sustainable Resource Development Minister Mel Knight, requesting that the Municipality be included as a stakeholder in all issues relating to Atlas Road.
Councillor Brian Gallant originally brought forth the issue at the May 10th GPC meeting.
“We (currently) don’t have direct stake in what happens with the road,” said Councillor Gallant. “We want to be brought to the table for discussions.”
The motion was approved unanimously.
Policies and Procedures review
Councillor Andrew Saje moved that Council direct Administration to ensure that an ongoing review of policies and procedures occur within each municipal department, such that each department benefits from such a review, not less than once in each five year period.
The motion was approved unanimously.
Three year budget
Mayor Bruce Decoux moved that Administration review the concept of a three-year budget process and report back to Council through the Policy Committee.
“It’s an excellent move,” said Mayor Decoux. “It’s the way of the future.”
The motion was passed unanimously.
