The staff and students at Horace Allen School in Coleman attended the Crowsnest Symphony Orchestra Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 2nd in the school’s gymnasium.
In appreciation of their support of the school, the students, along with Principal Elaine Garner, gave the orchestra a card of thanks in a presentation to conductor Jerry Lonsbury.
The symphony has used the school gymnasium for concerts and practices for the last two decades. |
To show their appreciation, the symphony has provided the school funds so that each student in the school can take a field trip to Lethbridge to attend ‘BeethovenLives Upstairs’ concert on May 16th.
The symphony has also donated money to the school for the purchase of xylophones for their school music program.
