The fourth annual Halloween Candy Buy Back was a raging success- and that’s not sugar coating the truth. Starting in 2009, Crowsnest Dental has offered to buy back Halloween candy for a dollar a pound. Aside from sparing some cavities, the buy back program will also spare a gloomy Christmas for troops overseas, as the candy will be sent them in Christmas packages. “It went absolutely wonderfully,” said Cheryl Oczkowski, Office Manager at Crowsnest Dental, calling it this year’s turn out the best so far.
Buy Back day was on Friday, November 2nd, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the office of Crowsnest Dental. About 20 kids from the Pass dropped off candy for cash, totaling approximately 130 lbs by the end of the day. Caden Pichurski, a grade four student from I.S.S. was the winner for the Halloween Buy Back draws, winning his fellow classmates a movie party at the Orpheum Theatre. Crowsnest Dental would like to thank everyone who took the time to come out and support the cause of making Christmas a little brighter for the troops overseas.
