The Crowsnest Pass Public Art Gallery is pleased to present ‘The Collector.’ The show, which is currently held at the art gallery in Frank, features three local artists, Nicole Yanota, Krisztina Wood and Curtis Stevens.
The name of the show, ‘The Collector,’ features a series of drawings and painting that reflect the collection of items, people, thoughts and ideas that are obtained through life.
“The Collector struck me as an interesting topic in a way that makes me believe that we are all collectors and whether it’s a physical collection or a immaterial collection, it reflects your experiences and memories,” said Yanota, one of the artists in the show.

“I chose to do studies on people I knew. It became biographical work about telling the story on that person, and their material collection and the places they have been and things they have done,” she said.
Yanota’s shows her artistry through pencil work and drawings. She has eight drawing in ‘The Collector.’
The show started on November 17th and continues until December 16th.
Yanota, who is originally from Arizona, said that a lot of her work revolves around bringing new memories to a new place. “Doing the artwork really reminded me of the places I’ve been and made me think about home.”
The Crowsnest Pass Public Art Gallery is located on Highway 3 in Frank. There is no admission to the show.
