Following the sale of Crowsnest centre site has been sold to Medican, a contracting company based out of Medicine Hat, the Municipality of the Crowsnest Pass is gearing towards the next step of the contract with the large construction company, which has been awarded the sale.
“The site is sold as one parcel and the agreement includes multi development land with the primary development being the hotel and following that and other development initiatives including a fast food restaurant,” said Myron Thompson, Chief Administrative Officer with the Municipality of the Crowsnest Pass.
“Word is right now, Council authorized administration to enter into an agreement with the developer, and we reached the point where both sides were satisfied with the agreement. We’re just waiting for them to sign on.” Thompson said that administration expects them to sign the agreement very soon, as the CEO of Medican is out of the country.
Thompson said that once the agreement has been signed, more information will be provided to the media.
The Pass Herald made several attempts at contacting Medican, the development company, and were unable to speak with developers, as the phone lines associated with Medican were either out of service, or were directed to voicemail.
