April is Dental Health Month and the staff at Crowsnest Dental are doing their part to promote a healthy smile through a series of contests for kids aged 13 and under.
“It’s an awareness initiative to promote how important dental care is,” said Cheryl Oczkowski, office manager at Crowsnest Dental. “We’ve decided we would run a little contest for the children of the community.”
Parents with children aged zero to four can submit a baby photo for the “Cutest Smile” contest, there will be a coloring contest for children aged five to nine, and children ten to 13 can compete in a crossword puzzle challenge.
The grand prize for all three age categories are swim passes for the winner and five friends at the Sparwood Leisure Centre.
“We’re hoping to promote cleanings and regular checkups with the children, said Oczkowski.
The crossword puzzle and the colouring picture can be found on the Crowsnest Dental website at Crowsesnt dental.com. Puzzles and colouring pictures can also be picked up at the Crowsnest Dental Office, located on 21st Street in Blairmore.
Deadline for entries will be 30 April. Winners will be picked in the beginning of May.
