Cinnamon Bear Cafe in Coleman was the site of a robbery on Monday, July 1st.

No injuries resulted from a robbery that occurred at the Cinnamon Bear after a lone male wearing a mask demanded money from an employee at the store’s till.
The man, who police say is a Crowsnest Pass local and is 20 years old, had a weapon to aid in his robbery of the coffee shop, located on 20th Avenue in Coleman.
After retrieving the money, the male left the store, knocking over a female bystander in the process.
The subject took an undisclosed amount of money and fled southbound on foot into the residential area of Coleman.
Piikani Detachment and Pincher Creek Detachments assisted Crowsnest Pass Detachments members in the investigation of the occurrence.
They arrested a 20 year-old male, and charged him with a number of offences under the Criminal Code including committing an offence while wearing a disguise, robbery with violence and possession of weapon dangerous to public peace.
As of press time neither the Cinnamon Bear Cafe or the local detachment of the RCMP would comment on the incident.
The male will go to court in Pincher Creek on July 23rd, 2013.
