The Crowsnest Pass Piranhas celebrated another successful year in the pool with the cumulation of an award banquet on Wednesday, August 13th.
The following are the swimmers who won aggregate awards. Sportsman of the Year - Abby-Anne Hughes. Junior Swimmers of the Year - Morgan and Shayla Duff and Sawyer Sawatzky. Coaches Choice Award - Aiden Douglas and Emma Harrington. Most Improved Swimmer - Ricky Petrone and Taylor Amos. Most Points accumulated throughout the Year - Winner Olivia Collings, Runner-up - Tristan Ewen. Most Dedicated Swimmer - Olivia Collings and Ethan Ballak. All Around Swimmers - Lyndon Ewen and Samantha Bleich. Rookie of the Year - Tej Patel and Tatiana Rinke.
Aggregate Awards for most points in age categories is as follows:
6 & Under Boys - Quinn Douglas.
6 & Under Girls - Alexandra Mertz
7 & 8 Boys Aggregate - Tristan Ewen
7 & 8 Girls Aggregate - Olivia Collings
9 & 10 Boys - Lyndon Ewen
9 & 10 Girls - Zoe Civitarese
11 & 12 Boys - Ethan Ballak
11 & 12 Girls - Samantha Bleich
13 & 14 Girls - Rylee Olden
The Pass Piranha Swim Club is sending 10 swimmers to the provincial meet in Edmonton on the August 17th weekend.
Representing the club in both individual and replay events are Tristan, Lyndon and Alex Ewen, Oliva Collings, Zoe Civitarese, Samantha Bleich, Aiden Douglas, Ethan Ballak, Jorje Mercer-Penney and Emma Halko.
The top two swimmers in the zone represent their swimming district in Provincials in a head to head battle in the pool.
