Taylor Elliot, a young 22 -year-old man from Pincher Creek went missing at 4:30 am on December 1st, from the Pincher Creek area.

Taylor Elliott is 6 feet tall and has a full beard. It is believed that he was wearing a tan Carhartt jacket, dark hoodie and jeans and has a medium-sized camouflaged backpack and .270 rifle. He is very familiar with backcountry. He may have sustained a head injury.

The Pincher Creek RCMP have been involved in the search since he went missing, but recently suspended their ground search along with Search and Rescue.

A volunteer search group headed up by Rod Sinclair, based in Pincher Creek, would like to make it clear that their group is still searching for Taylor.

“Even though the ground search by the RCMP has been suspended we are still looking in the back country and the local the detachment continues to investigate all leads from the public such as sightings in the search for Taylor,” said Sinclair

“Turnout has been amazing, our volunteers have been there for us. On average 30 or more people per day are volunteering in ground search mode”.

According to Sinclair, “there have been numerous sighting in Crowsnest Pass and Elk Valley area.”

If you have seen or heard anything please contact the RCMP directly at 403-627-6010.

If any back country groups in either the Crowsnest Pass or Elk Valley are willing to search or have already been in the back country and have seen anything out of the ordinary Sinclair would like to be contacted. He can be reached at 403-627-9467.

“If you have been searching the back country for Taylor please let us know so that we can mark your area and open up new search areas”.

Janet Jones, who started as the lead for the volunteer search group, posted this comment on Facebook site:

"Friends and family are still searching. They are not giving up yet. Please keep spreading the word. The more people who know the better. We need some clues. Someone may have seen him and just doesn't realize it. We have had great support from the community and are very thankful to everyone who has helped. Keep looking and spreading the word."

The community of Pincher Creek is working hard to bring this young man home to his family.
