When Ella Braun was born, the Ottoman Empire still controlled much of the Middle East, the Romanov’s were celebrating 300 years of ruling Russia, Sir Robert Borden was the Prime Minister of Canada and the province of Alberta was only eight years old.
Braun celebrated her 101st on Sept. 26, but her friends at the Crowsnest Pass Health Centre, insist she doesn’t look a day over 90.
“She’s like family,” says registered nurse Mitzi Conver.
Braum emigrated from Germany in the 1950s and has been a resident of the Crowsnest Pass Health Centre since 2004, says Conver.
