The Crowsnest Pass/Pincher Creek Midget Huskies have wrapped up an amazing season of hockey.

The group of 16 boys, coached by Kent Goodreau, Lyle Douglas and Blair Goodreau, comprised of Crowsnest Pass and Pincher Creek players had a remarkable season of hockey.

The team previously played in the Southern Alberta Spud league, where last year they won every single game they played.

Due to talent and the desire for more competitive play, the team applied to play in the Central Alberta Hockey League.

As it was their first year in the league, the team was placed in a Tier 3 division. This was soon changed when the team beat their closest competitors by over 10 goals.

The team was then bumped up to Tier 1 and has never looked back.

The team played a long 24 game season against teams from Stettler, Red Deer, Canmore, Strathmore, Okotoks, Olds and Airdrie. At the end of the season the team finished second place with an impressive 13 wins, 8 losses and three draws.

Eight players are retiring from the team as their they have aged out in minor hockey. The veterans are saying that this was one of the best, most competitive years in hockey and they are happy to end their careers at a high point.
