Last week’s Alberta Culture Days in the Crowsnest Pass featured the M is for Music concert at the Crowsnest Pass Public Art Gallery in Frank.

The event featured performances from a number of talented locals including Aislynn and Keira Wheelock and Becky and Paul Pichurski.

Many performers happen to be students of Tynan and Shelly Groves: a husband and wife team that both performs and teaches music.

“It’s great because it’s so casual,” said Shelly of the art gallery’s atmosphere. “It’s a great sampling of what the area has to offer in terms of musical styles and abilities. People are very supportive of each other.”

Between the two of them Shelly and Tynan are teaching 60 students this year.
