On Oct. 16 at about 9:45 p.m., an eastbound semi-truck hauling fence posts flipped over and rolled into the ditch west of Coleman on Highway 3.

RCMP says the 28-year old male driver from Cranbrook sustained minor injuries.

The incident capped off a deadly week on the community’s roadways. Between Oct. 8 and Oct. 14, 16 motor vehicle collisions were reported to the Crowsnest RCMP, two of which were fatal.

On Oct. 11, there was a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 3, east of Bellevue.

The RCMP is reporting that a westbound sedan collided with an eastbound pick-up truck. The driver of the pick-up truck died as a result of the collision, the driver of the sedan was treated for minor injuries.

A third vehicle was damaged after the initial collision. Police analysts continue to investigate the crash. All possible contributing factors relating to the cause of this accident are being investigated.

On Oct. 9, there was a fatal car accident on Highway 22.

RCMP are reporting that a sedan and SUV were both heavily damaged in the collision and the lone occupant of the sedan, a middle-aged male, was declared deceased upon arrival.

STARS Air Ambulance is reporting that the driver of the SUV, also male, was assessed and stabilized by paramedics and flown to the Foothills Medical Centre by where he is being treated for multiple non life-threatening injuries.
